Syntony Scapes is a proof-of-concept installation that reimagines transitional corridors, often overlooked as mere passageways, as intentional environments. It transforms these in-between spaces into playful, responsive murals shaped entirely by the activity within them.

Using camera-based motion capture, each person’s position becomes the epicentre of an orb-like form that responds in real time. Ambient sound influences the orb’s size and colour, while movement determines its behaviour. Together, motion and sound generate a living tableau of shifting colour and form, an abstract reflection of the environment that exists only in the moment, for those present to experience it.
